Awkward Silence is a long-form improv group from cornfed and wholesome Indiana. We were founded at Indiana University in 2004 after a flustered Brian Frange, freshly rejected from a collegiate improv group, started his own troupe with a name inspired by a common element in all of his social interactions. Now, Brian is a successful adult man writing in LA who buys us pizza when he comes to visit. We do our best to repay him by continuing the ASC legacy through performing weird, energetic improv every Thursday in the Indiana Memorial Union. Awkward Silence has performed at The Del Close Marathon in New York City, The Chicago College Improv Tournament, The Malignant Humor Comedy Festival at University of Illinois, and, of course, we hold a special place in our hearts for OSU's Bellwether.
