Mark Hale

Mark Hale is a Senior Theatre major with a minor in Vocal Music. He joined 8th Floor in the Spring of 2006. He loves doing not only improv, but standup and sketch comedy as well as singing and any form of theatre. When not on stage, Mark enjoys playing video games, shower singing, and generally just hanging out with his friends (who, incidentally, roll mad deep). Mark thanks God for the opportunity to perform with this talented group of people he's proud to call his friends as well as his family and his girlfriend MandiLynn for their continuing support of all that he does.

Samantha Bowling joined the group during fall quarter of her freshman year and has loved every second. She is currently working toward a double degree in both English and Theatre. After graduation, Samantha hopes to continue creating and performing in either New York City or Los Angeles.

Brady joined 8th Floor in the fall of his sophomore year. Now a senior, he will readily admit how much 8th Floor has profoundly affected his life. He believes that the group gave focus to his budding passion for comedy. Brady thinks his friends are really talented. When he graduates, with a degree in English and a minor in Theater, he hopes to move to New York City and study with the Upright Citizens Brigade. Brady is also an avid fan of music and social media. He spends quite a lot of time with both.

If it weren’t for 8th Floor, Sebastien Pensis would be doing his homework and wandering the globe. He thinks 8th Floor is a great organization and that it’s always a good time. His Major is International Studies. Sebastien spent quite a bit of his life in Europe, including living a year in Germany. He is Belgian American and, yes, waffles are amazing in Belgium. He has more hobbies than are necessary to list below.

Hobbies: Reading good books, watching movies, learning guitar.

Special Skills: Sebatstien speaks four languages fluently.

Martin is a senior majoring in computer programming. He joined 8th Floor in the spring quarter of his sophomore year and loves how good improv has been to him since. He's pretty gosh darn grateful for all the support from his family and friends et al. Kevin is a second year student majoring in communication technology. He joined 8th Floor in the Autumn Quarter of his Freshman year and he hasn't stopped having fun since. Brittany found her love for acting doing plays at Turpin High School in Cincinnati. She has a great time on the 8th Floor because it’s the one place where you can act completely crazy and everyone will not only accept it, but enjoy it. Brittany is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Theater. Her hobbies include piano, guitar, singing, and recycling. One of her special skills is that she can stick her whole fist in her mouth, and snorts when she laughs. Always. Jealous?

Ben is a third year communications major specializing in strategic communication. He became a member of 8th Floor during Autumn Quarter of 2008 and has never been happier to work with such a hilarious group of people. In addition to performing improv, Ben enjoys writing and acting in sketches produced by 8th Floor. He hopes that this is only the first step in his pursuit of a career in comedy as he plans to study at the Second City in Chicago after graduation. Ben also considers himself a chef in self-training.

Xavier Dunson

Xavier is a biomedical engineering/pre-med major with a minor in theater. He is currently involved in the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Black Student Theater Network (BSTN), University Housing Black Student Association (UHBSA). He was a founder of The Ohio State's Alpha Nu chapter of Pi Kappa Phi (standards board chair). Xavier was also a part of the African American Voices gospel choir (AAV) during his freshman year. He loves life and all its difficulties, because it's the hard times that make him realize he's only human. Xavier is excited to grow as an improviser with a great group of people. He hopes to go to medical school, after which, if everything goes according to plan, Xavier will have a job in the medical field, practicing comedy on the side.

Nate is a sophomore studying English and Theatre. He believes that improvisational comedy brings out the optimal comedic talents of any individual and often wonders why it isn’t a bigger part of our society. Luckily, he joined 8th Floor Improv fall quarter his sophomore year and is blown away by the success of the group and its individual members. He hopes to play a big part in its continual growth in the coming years. Upon graduation, Nate plans to move out to NY, LA, or Chicago to study improv and pursue a career in entertaining you.

Aaron joined 8th Floor autumn quarter of his sophomore year. He started doing comedy his freshman year, performing stand up all across the great state of Ohio. He does not believe in majors but technically/temporarily his is English. Aaron is excited about learning a new form of comedy and also making many new friends. After college he plans to pursue a career in comedy. Aaron loves baseball, good movies, and naps.

Cory is a freshman who plans on majoring in Communications with an English or Film Studies minor. He joined 8th Floor in Fall 2009, and until then, never realized how much he loved to perform comedy up on stage. He can already tell 8th Floor is going to be a big part of his identity at Ohio State and couldn't be more excited for it. Some of his hobbies include playing guitar, reading and having a good time. Music is a huge part of his life, and he loves to be the one making people laugh. After college he plans on moving out to New York or Los Angeles and pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.

Eddie joined 8th Floor Improv in Fall 2009. He plans on graduating in the spring of 2013 with degrees in political science and theater. Eddie is ecstatic to be a part of 8th Floor and cannot wait to learn more about improv. He hopes to be able to add to an already amazing group. After graduation, Eddie plans on attending law school.
